Alice Orth was host to the SS&Gers in what is almost her home town.. Our appreciation goes to Alice for all the hard work that she continually puts into making the SS&Gers successful.
The SS& Ger's had a fun day on Monday in Solvang. We boarded a chartered bus @ 9:30 am, and then had time to visit the shops and have lunch before returning to our hotel. |

On Tuesday, we visited "Ron's" a local garden nursery in the area. We attended a workshop on container planting, plus use of succulents & cactus in various arrangements. We then chose plants and containers, and made our own arrangements.Lots of fun and some beautiful arrangement were taken home. Not sure how the ladies whose travel mode was by air made it home with their arrangements! |
Wednesday we traveled to the neat little town of Avila Beach. While the golfers played at nearby Avila Beach Golf Course we made the rounds of wineries and local stores, plus had lunch outdoors looking at the ocean.

 After lunch, several ladies walked the beach and enjoyed seeing the harbor seals. |

Thursday we toured the city of San Luis Obispo, plus visited the Mission. As always, we have a great time just being together and sharing fun times. |
Note to our golfers. It would greatly help our SS&Gers if you could plan on car-pooling to the golf courses,
leaving the cars for those that need them.
